
For more than 40 years, the Girl Scout Troop House at Fowler Park in Oconomowoc has offered girls a safe space to hold meetings and activities. A grant from the Oconomowoc Area Foundation will help support a much-needed upgrade to the troop house kitchen. GSWISE Troop 2257 of Oconomowoc were invited to the 2022 OAF Grants Celebration to talk to guests about the project and also were honored Color Guard for the program. the greater Oconomowoc community.
The Oconomowoc Area Foundation is committed to cultivating a healthy, vibrant, and caring community by granting opportunities to local nonprofit organizations focused on causes you are most passionate about.
Each year, the foundation awards grants focused on priorities for improving the greater Oconomowoc area, including caring for children, families, and the elderly, developing youth, helping those in need, preserving the environment, and enriching the community through the arts and cultural programming.

Blessings in a Backpack
Blessings in a Backpack – Waukesha County Chapter mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for school-aged children across America who might otherwise go hungry.

Provides integrative and nature-based therapies to individuals with physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities.

The Oasis Project
Oasis provides free professional tutoring for at-risk children in kindergarten through eighth grade who have been impacted by poverty and/or trauma that affects a child’s progress in school.

OCD-Wisconsin Foundation
OCD-WI works to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), to improve access and support for individuals with OCD and their families through outreach, community education, and scholarships.

Oconomowoc American Legion Band
The Oconomowoc American Legion Band has sponsored a cost-free Junior Legion Band Camp for the past 10 years for music students in grades 6-8 to improve skills in the performance of concert music and provide them with the experience of performing in a public setting.

OPEF raises and provides funds for innovative educational opportunities and experiences not funded in the core school district budget.

Oconomowoc Public Library
The Oconomowoc Public Library is one of the oldest libraries in the state, progressing from a private association in 1870 to a public library in 1893. In 1918, the City of Oconomowoc took over operation of the library.

Prevent Blindness WI
Prevent Blindness will train and certify School Nurses and staff in Children’s Vision Screening and provide on-going support to ensure children are receiving quality vision screenings at school.

The Women’s Center
The Women’s Center – Waukesha County’s mission is to provide safety, shelter, and support to empower all impacted by domestic abuse, sexual violence, child abuse and trafficking.

Tricia’s Troops Cancer Connection
Tricia’s Troops provides financial assistance, service coordination, supportive care, and a variety of free services and supplies to cancer patients throughout Southeast Wisconsin.
