Grant Guidelines

The Foundation makes grants to organizations that serve communities within the Oconomowoc school district, including the towns of Ixonia,  Dousman and Nashotah. It is not necessary that the organization be physically located within these communities, but that it can demonstrate it provides services to the residents of these communities.

The priorities for support from the Fund are:

  1. Programs for children and youth, particularly teens;

  2. Services to the elderly, particularly those with limited access to community services;

  3. Arts and cultural programs;

  4. Programs providing support services for persons facing life-threatening conditions or for the families of such persons;

  5. Programs that preserve the environment through reduction of pollution, conservation or restoration of natural areas, education or protection of wildlife;

  6. Economic development;

Applying for grants from the Oconomowoc Area Foundation does not in any way disqualify charitable organizations for applying for other Greater Milwaukee Foundation grants.

OAF 2020 Grant Cycle #2:

The Oconomowoc Area Foundation (OAF) has opened a second round of funding.
This grant cycle is open to all nonprofits serving the greater Oconomowoc area to help fund requests related to:
• Operational Support
• Covid-19
• Special Projects
Application timeline * Friday, September 11th- application opens * Friday,
September 25th - deadline to submit application (11 p.m. CST)
